The Break-over

Happy October everyone!

Autumn is my favourite time of the year, it’s a time to say good bye to the old and embrace change and, for the first time in my adult life, I’m going it alone as a single independent woman.

This for me, isn’t a time to dwell on the past or make hasty decisions, but a time to 100% get to know myself and develop what I have already become. I don’t need to find a new me, because I’m actually really happy with who I am and the person I have grown into over the past 10 years.

Fulfilment comes from every angle of your life and my life is, and always has been, pretty rounded. You should always make time for yourself, your friends, your dreams and whenever possible, travel the world. I think that’s why this next chapter of my life doesn’t seem so daunting. I’ve got some of the most amazing people in my life that love and adore me and I know no matter what I’ll be just fine.

My business gives me opportunities I could have only dreamt of some 18 months ago, but it’s only through pure determination and drive that I have been able to achieve what I have…and trust me, it’s not been easy!!! It’s been exciting and scary but worth every sleepless night. Some days you’ll come to the salon and find half of us with no make up on and other days we’ll be looking like we’re ready for a night out, but whichever it is you can guarantee we will always be happy and the girls and our clients would agree, the salon is one of the most beautiful and welcoming places to unwind, feel happy and enjoy some time for yourself.

I give 100% to everything I do and it’s amazing what opportunities you create for yourself by communicating and opening your mind to other people’s lives. I’m not going to bore you all with more about my self but what I’m trying to say is, that beauty comes from within and no matter what kind of day it is, you should love yourself and the person you are whether that’s the VAVAVOOOOOOM Saturday night self or the just woke up half asleep self. We all have our ups and downs but in the end it will all work out ok and you should never depend on any singular person for your happiness. Things don’t always work out as expected but that’s ok <3

As this post is about loving yourself and making yourself feel good no matter what way you go about it, I wanted to share a few things that I do and love that make me feel good about myself.

I absolutely LOVE the new Huda Beauty rose gold eyeshadow pallet. Check out the colour’s and familiarise yourself with the Huda beauty Instagram page, if you haven’t already, by reading the following article: l

Another favourite is the Hale Training class I have been going to once a week, run by Adam Hale. I have been attending for the past year and a half and although it’s the only form of exercise I do, it makes me feel great. There is such a variety of people that come and take part and I’ve never felt unwelcome or embarrassed, not even when I went completely on my own and hadn’t got clue what to expect! Luckily for me Adam has just moved up to Glendon farm and is now based in the barn just behind the salon, you can check out Adams page and make enquiries by visiting his Facebook page here:

If you are feeling a little glum and want to freshen up your already beautiful self, we absolutely love giving people makeovers! We now have a lot of clients that book in for all kinds of occasions, from weddings to ladies who just fancy a confidence boost. So why not get yourself booked in for a little treat, you can book in and check out the rest of our amazing treatments here:
